2021-2022

In 2022, after two years of studying figurative expressionist oil painting in China, the artist began to develop a deeper awareness of the differing artistic perceptions and value systems between Eastern and Western contexts. This realization prompted a shift in subject matter, as everyday surroundings and the presence of the artist’s cat became vehicles for introspection and expression. Through these seemingly ordinary motifs, the works subtly articulate personal reflections on cultural positioning and artistic identity.
